Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Adrienne, creator and host of Feminist Hotdog. Thanks for being here!
I started this podcast because I’m on a mission to show the world that, not only is intersectional feminism good for everyone, it can also be fun! In the age of Trump, Kavanaugh, and McConnell, it is more important than ever to draw strength from everyday feminism and feminist heroes. As a social worker turned journalist, I’ve always been fascinated by the resilience and creativity of women and people of all genders who experience sexism. I hope listeners of every identity find power, joy, and energy in these inspiring interviews so we can all fight for the fabulous, feminist world we deserve.
I currently live in Montgomery, Alabama, with my husband and a pit bull named Zola.
What is this podcast?

Tell me more…
It is a hosted talk show featuring a different guest each episode. While Feminist Hotdog explores a variety of topics each season, the overall theme of the show is finding joy and connection through feminism.
Where can I listen?
Feminist Hotdog is part of the NOCO.fm internet radio and podcast network. The show streams on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PT/10:00 ET. New episodes pop up in all the usual podcast places (Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Music, Spotify) every other Thursday.
What is the show like?
Informal, honest, hopeful, cerebral, silly, and chatty are all appropriate words to describe Feminist Hotdog. Each episode is between 40 and 60 minutes and has four segments:
Intro: Get to know my guest and learn how feminism influences their life.
What Makes Our Feminist Hearts Sing? News (interpreted broadly) that made me and my guest feel better about the state of the world, stoked about being a feminist, or hopeful that maybe not all humans are garbage.
Dear Feminist Hotdog: Listener questions or feminism-related questions posed by me to the guest based on their area of expertise.
The Hotdog Hall of Fame: Brief bios of women from all walks of life who inspire us.
